Legalisation requirements for Pakistan

On 8 July 2022 Pakistan acceded to the the Hague Apostille Convention. In doing so, Pakistan became the 123 country to sign up to the Convention. This means that documents to be used in Pakistan no longer need to be legalised by the High Commission of Pakistan. This came into force on 9 March 2023.

Most documents to be used in Pakistan will need to be notarised and apostilled. Certain documents can be apostilled directly without needing notarisation. In the UK an apostille is only issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Our knowledgeable team can help you through the process of notarisation and apostille. Contact us today to get started.

Check your document

We notarise many types of documents and can provide different types of certification to meet your needs.

The most popular documents we see are powers of attorney, passports, educational certificates and Companies House documentation. However, there are many other types we see regularly and are familiar with.

If your document is not listed and you are unsure if we can help, email us at info@notary.co.uk and we will be happy to confirm.
