Legalising documents for Egypt

Documents issued in the United Kingdom must be legalised by The General Consulate of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the UK.

The Consulate will only accept UK issued documents that have been apostilled by the FCDO. Many documents will also need to be notarised first before they are apostilled.

Personal documents can be bundled under a notarial certificates. Commercial documents must be notarised individually.

Sales contracts must be emailed to legalisation@egyptconsulate.co.uk prior to submission so that the Consulate can advise on the correct fee.

Egyptian citizens must provide proof of ownership when selling property, and a copy of their driving licence when selling vehicles.

We’d love to help with legalising your document for Egypt. Contact us to start the process.
