Any document issued in the United Kingdom to be used in Vietnam will need to be legalised by The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the UK.
The embassy does not distinguish between personal or commercial documents. All documents must be apostilled by the FCDO prior to being submitted at the embassy. Most documents will need to be notarised before being apostilled.
The embassy will legalise documents issued in UK Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man) and the Republic of Ireland, if they have been apostilled by the relevant legalisation offices in those places.
Documents issued in UK Overseas Territories (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Island, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar, Turks and Caicos Islands) must be apostilled by the Legalisation Office in the Overseas Territory, AND apostilled by the FCDO in the UK.
